ship log

So, I suppose it's time to start using this usable feature at the brick ship to give shape to some of it's organs. This blog will mainly be used to log thoughts and feedback concerning the ships' development. Whenever the need comes you'll then have a lot more to go on if you can look back on the scribblings of the crew, and the good side- effect will be that thoughts concretisize differently. double connotation there.

this log will from here on be used as a notepad and record for every single meeting anyone concerning the ship will ever have. sounds as definite as it is. but i don't want there to be any choice here.

the thoughts of today after having put some texts about the documentaries we intend to show on the homepage are some.

1. we need to have the next meeting with decisions on what we want to show as soon as possible to keep the level high and to get into the type of work that it is. the group that are working on the dox arrangement is brilliant and the potential is even greater.

2. All the dox that we plan to show has to be so good that you'd feel ashamed to miss it for your grandmother. We need though to keep the variety of subject high to serve the perspective that the brick ship wants to employ.

3. The homepage needs some modifications and more specific needs are beginning to show up. Even though i suggest we prioritize point 1 the current layout is not going to last for very long since apparent improvements can be made. One of the things would be to have the schedule for the movies

4. What questions will we ask when each documentary or seminar has been viewed and people start to talk? who has futher information? what music goes best to each occation? can we make a "program" for every theme? that themes do we lack? how else can we rise the quality of each gig?

5. PR. the current strategy is just to spam every medium that we have access to: facebook, e-mail or sms to registered members, flyers, word of mouth. make updates on feedback here. the key is to provide a product that is irresistable and be able to deliver a short and specific explaination of it when you inform someone who doesn't intend to create an interest in it before you start. Make it easy for them to come here and they will appear. hence the mistake to not publish WHICH documentary you show as well on fb is unacceptable. no one is going to click away to the ship if they don't have anything to go on that wakes their CURRENT interest.

How to get to the Ship

hoppa av vid vagnhallen majorna, gå till sockerbruket (skyltat mot röda sten). nedan följer en beskrivning för dummies i romanform.

Tram number 3 and 9 stops here at Vagnhallen majorna.

This is what you'll see when you get off the tram
if you went from the inner City of Göteborg.

Now, turn to you right and you'll see this. Start walking.

This is the direction you're headed. Cross the street, pass the red wooden house and turn left.

This left.

Walk straight forward.

Now as you walk you will have Göteborgs Spårvägars Vagnhall of Majorna to your left, this is where the trams sleep...

And this magnificent old building with a not very attractive newer extra floor added on the top to your right.

Keep walking straight still though.

At the end of this building you'll see a biogas station where you can load your car with farts from cows.

Notice also the big bridge in the background.

Walk past this area.

And there is a tunnel. You will turn right and walk through this tunnel.

If you're not sure that you are at the right tunnel, look at this sign and you'll know you're safe. Follow the sign through the tunnel.

(This is the last return. If you change your mind about going to Landskeppet, instead turn left and rent a Go Kart!!!!!!1)

This is what it looks like from inside the tunnel. If you are tired, stop here and sing for a minute. The acoustics are great.

The red brick building you can see from here is where you're going

Keep walking, turn slightly to the right and go down the wee slope.

This is where you're going.

This way.

In here!

This is us

IF the door is locked, tap the code....

B + 0008 ...and we'll open the door.

Walk the stairs, tree floors up.

This is it. You're on the third floor. Go in through the door to your left!

And here we are. Take off your shoes and dance.

Who can sail without wind?

We don't know where this will lead. We know that everyone wants it. Small to fit the whole world, but we decided to try. Swing with it.

Most is not done yet, but the plans are grand. The only thing that we need to see to is that we don't work too hard: our arses might fall off but it was our hearts that took us this way. When we tell people about the idea they give the biggest smile and they all give us what they can to contribute.
